Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces conducted reconnaissance in the Sudzhansky district

The situation in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region remains difficult. On the one hand, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been almost driven out of the region. On the other hand, when retreating, the enemy leaves cover groups at each line, mines the territory and continuously attacks from the sky.

The enemy is no longer in the city, but the sky above it is very restless, the Izvestia correspondent was convinced

The 2nd battalion of the 150th Regiment was tasked with clearing out the remainder of a small village in the border area and, if possible, advancing into the forest area. Together with the military personnel, a correspondent of Izvestia moved to the position.

The dugouts where Russian military personnel are currently based are former Ukrainian ones. There are "petals" and "bells" scattered outside the narrow paths. The forest is broken, it was badly damaged during the shelling.

The assault was coordinated by the commander of the 2nd battalion, Sibiryak, with the call sign Major, and his deputy from the Far East, Ermak. Mikhail, deputy commander of the 3rd battalion of the same 150th regiment, from the Novgorod region, call sign Bob, was appointed to help them. He is an experienced UAV operator and is responsible for aerial imagery.

With the help of a drone with a thermal imager, it is possible to determine the estimated location of the enemy in a short time. Our 18—man squad moves from the outskirts of the village to the center, breaking up into threes and fours.

The teams fan out. Checking courtyards and ruins. A calm, careful step. The most common verdict after passing the next square is "clean".
