In Primorye, the graves of the dead soldiers of the SVR were desecrated

In Primorsky Krai, unknown persons desecrated the graves of soldiers who died during a special military operation. Alexey Gubaidullin, the head of the Khorolsky municipal District, told about the incident on April 2 in the Telegram channel.
"A lot of monuments are littered, portraits are broken. At the moment, law enforcement agencies are working to identify and punish those responsible," the official said.
He also stressed that the vandals had damaged monuments not only to military personnel, but also to civilians.
The fact of the incident will be checked by the prosecutor's office. A criminal case has also been opened under Part 1 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of the bodies of the dead and their burial places").
On March 23, the British Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) approved the care of British military graves in Russia. The resting places of British citizens have been tended for decades by Russian military and private contractors paid for by CWGC. However, after the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the UK could no longer pay for the maintenance of graves.
