Crews of T-90M "Proryv" tanks of the 25th combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a platoon strongpoint, a crew with an AGS-17 installation and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of their military operation. This was announced on April 3 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Tankers successfully hit targets located at a considerable distance and out of line of sight. Every combat exit brings results. <...> This time, the tankers destroyed a crew with an AGS-17 installation and a platoon strong point with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of their own," the department said.

The well-coordinated work of the crews allowed the Russian assault units to advance deep into the enemy's defenses.

The successful completion of tasks is also facilitated by comprehensive timely provision of shells, fuel and lubricants and equipment, the press service emphasized.

"The enemy is very much clinging to these defensive positions, as they have the opportunity to hide equipment, weapons and manpower in the forests. But we are coping and squeezing out the enemy," said the commander of the T—90M "Breakthrough" tank with the call sign Athlete.

On April 1, Russian tanker Maxim Grigoriev captured a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after being blown up by a mine. As he told Izvestia, having hit a mine, the tank lost a caterpillar, so the crew was forced to quickly leave the immobilized vehicle, taking refuge in the nearest landing. But Ukrainian drones started chasing them. Subsequently, the fighter managed to capture a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
