Dmitriev and Witkoff met in Washington

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), met with Steve Witkoff, Special envoy to the United States President, in Washington. This was reported on Thursday, April 3, by the Reuters news agency, citing American officials.

Dmitriev became the first representative of the Russian government to pay an official visit to the United States after the start of the special operation in 2022.

At the same time, it is not known what the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation and the special envoy of the American leader were talking about.

"Dmitriev can play a key role in restoring relations that were at their worst between Moscow and Washington before Trump's inauguration in January," the publication says.
