Members of the Fair Russia — For Truth Party (SRDP) have submitted to the State Duma a bill on housing for veterans of a special military operation who have received a disability of the first group.

"The provisions of the draft law propose to provide for a special procedure for providing living quarters for citizens who have become disabled in the first group during a special military operation," reads the explanatory note to the document.

Faction leader Sergei Mironov noted that military personnel need special home conditions for rehabilitation, but often veterans cannot afford them because they live with their families in small apartments.

"This serious problem is most relevant for the participants of the special operation, who lost their health and came from the front with disabilities of the first group. Since the vast majority of regions do not have the money to finance this program, we propose to allocate funds for it from the federal budget," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On March 28, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, told Russian President Vladimir Putin about the support of ITS participants in the region. According to him, 84 regional support measures are being implemented in the Leningrad region. He added that the authorities are also providing assistance to the children of the special operation participants.
