- Pushkov warned of the threat of war in the Middle East due to Trump's ultimatum to Iran

US President Donald Trump's ultimatum regarding the nuclear deal with Iran could lead to a new major war in the region. This was announced on April 2 by the head of the Federation Council Commission on information policy Alexei Pushkov in the Telegram channel.
"Trump's next ultimatum is now for Iran. <...> Western media are vying to write that "time is running out for Iran to conclude a nuclear deal" <...> The situation is fraught with a major war in the Middle East," he said.
Earlier, Trump threatened Iran with bombing on condition that the parties do not sign an agreement on Tehran's refusal to develop nuclear weapons.
On April 2, the same day, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrault announced the risk of a military conflict over Iran's nuclear program. According to him, if an agreement is not reached, it "can be costly and lead to serious destabilization in the region." On March 30, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with bombing if the parties did not sign an agreement on Tehran's refusal to develop nuclear weapons. In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on April 1 that military intervention in the republic by the United States would not be able to help resolve the issue of the nuclear deal.
