The Prosecutor's Office of the Sverdlovsk region organized an inspection after the collapse of rocks at the Novo-Kalinskaya mine in the city of Severouralsk. The agency announced this on Wednesday, April 2, in its Telegram channel.
"The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Severouralsk has organized a safety check during mining operations and labor protection legislation in connection with the collapse of the rock at the Novo-Kalinskaya mine," the publication says.
They added that six miners have already come to the surface, while one worker may still be under the rubble.
It is specified that specialists from other supervisory agencies will be involved in the inspection. During the supervisory measures, the Prosecutor's office will assess compliance with safety and labor protection requirements.
The fact that a collapse occurred in a mine in the Sverdlovsk region, as a result of which one person was trapped under the rubble, became known earlier that day. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation are working to save the worker
