The Israeli Air Force intercepted two rockets launched into the country from the Gaza Strip. This was announced on April 2 by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

It is indicated that at 21:17 (coincides with Moscow time), an air alert was announced in the areas of the country adjacent to the Palestinian enclave.

"The Israeli Air Force intercepted two rockets launched from the northern Gaza Strip and flew into Israeli territory," the IDF said in a Telegram channel.

No damage or injuries were reported as a result of the attack.

A day earlier, the Israeli armed forces also intercepted a rocket launched from the Palestinian territory. As a result of the attack, sirens went off in border settlements, including Sderot, Ibim and Or-ha-Ner.

On March 29, the leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Khalil al-Haya, announced his agreement to Egypt's proposal for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. He also noted that the group will not disarm as long as the Israeli occupation exists.
