- The French Foreign Ministry said there was a risk of military conflict over Iran's nuclear program.

Iran's nuclear program, if it fails to reach a deal, will almost inevitably escalate into an armed conflict. This was announced on Wednesday, April 2, by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud.
"Our priority is to reach an agreement that imposes long—term and verifiable restrictions on Iran's nuclear program. The window of opportunity is narrow: we have only a few months before the expiration of the agreement reached ten years ago," Barro said at a meeting of the International Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the country. The meeting was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the lower house of Parliament.
According to him, if no agreement is reached, it "can be costly and lead to serious destabilization in the region."
On March 30, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with bombing if the parties did not sign an agreement on Tehran's refusal to develop nuclear weapons. In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on April 1 that military intervention in the republic by the United States would not be able to help resolve the issue of the nuclear deal.
