Sberbank has announced the disabling of older versions of the Android app.

The old versions of the Sberbank mobile app will no longer function on Android phones. This was announced on April 2 in the organization's call center.

"Older versions of the app are being disabled gradually, depending on the version. Now notifications [from the bank] are being received en masse with a request to update the application," the company told RIA Novosti.

It is noted that when you try to turn on the app, a recommendation appears on the phone screen to upgrade to the latest version.

Currently, the current version of the banking application is 16.6.0, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".

On March 24, the Downdetector portal reported failures in the Sberbank application, as a result of which, when customers tried to log in, they received a notification about the temporary unavailability of the service. One of the messages stated that there were problems with the Internet on the portal, which were suggested to be dealt with by connecting to another mobile network or Wi-Fi, or by disabling the VPN.
