A 19-year-old patient was admitted to the medical facility, she complained of severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. The examination revealed a 20 by 15 cm foreign body in the lumen of her stomach. The girl said that for the last two months she had been taking medications to reduce body weight, which she bought online, Radio 1 noted on Wednesday, April 2.

According to Nikolai Murashov, head of the surgical department at Krasnogorsk Hospital, it was decided to operate on the patient because the stone turned out to be large and of a dense consistency. The extracted bezoar was sent for histological examination, according to the results of which it will be possible to talk about its composition and causes.

The patient is already preparing for discharge, according to 360.ru . Doctors have warned about the dangers of using medications without consulting a doctor, the Moscow City News agency notes.
