No civilians were injured in the crash of the Tu-22M3 aircraft in the Irkutsk region. This was announced on April 2 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.
He clarified that the accident occurred at night near the village of Buret in the Usolsky district.
"There are no residential buildings destroyed or civilian casualties. <...> The Ministry of Emergency Situations is working on site," Kobzev wrote on his Telegram channel.
The crash of the Tu-22M3 aircraft in the Irkutsk region occurred earlier in the day during a scheduled flight. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, four members of the bomber's crew ejected, but one of them died on landing. Previously, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction.
