In the city of Perevoz, Nizhny Novgorod region, a gas explosion occurred in an administrative building. This was announced on April 2 by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"A report was received about the popping of a gas—air mixture without subsequent combustion in the administrative building on Sovetsky Avenue in Perevoz," Gorenje said in a Telegram channel.

No one was injured in the incident, the degree of damage to the building is being clarified. The Ministry of Emergency Situations specialists are working at the scene.

The building was never put into operation, but people moved into it by court order.

Earlier on March 27, a gas explosion occurred in a multi-storey building in the village of Krasnogorsky, Chelyabinsk region. As a result of the incident, one person was killed, three were taken to the hospital. The Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation into the incident. A municipal-level emergency regime was introduced in the village.
