The economist listed the areas with the highest wage growth

Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told us in which areas salaries have increased the most.
In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, April 2, the expert pointed out that the highest wage growth rates were observed in the areas of car manufacturing (+25.3%) and wood processing (+23.9%). Wage growth was also recorded in metallurgical production (+23.1%), food production and the production of finished metal products (+22.5%).
The average salary for 2024 increased by 17.5% and amounted to almost 88 thousand rubles.
"The highest average salaries were in the field of oil and natural gas production — 218.5 thousand rubles, as well as financial activities – 206.3 thousand rubles," Balynin concluded.
On March 28, the press service of the Avito Rabota platform reported that the project manager became the highest-paid office specialist in the first quarter of 2025. Employers offer project managers an average salary of almost 90 thousand rubles per month, which indicates an increase of 26% compared to the same period last year, writes RT.
The day before, Georgy Ostapkovich, director of the HSE Center for Economic Studies, predicted further wage growth in Russia in an interview with Izvestia. He warned that the rate of increase would be less significant than in 2024.
