The American expert assessed Musk's prospects in the status of a civil servant

Businessman Elon Musk, in the status of a civil servant, clears the Augean stables of the US bureaucracy, striving with American President Donald Trump to make the country's economy more efficient, Konstantin Blokhin, a leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences, an American political scientist, told Izvestia on April 2. According to him, this angers many bureaucrats.
"Musk, rolling up his sleeves, began to clear the Augean stables of this bureaucracy, this American nomenclature, trying together with Trump to make the American economy more efficient and competitive," he said.
At the same time, the expert clarified that it is too early to talk about the results of his work.
At the same time, the political scientist suggested that Musk is hesitating whether to remain in the Trump team or formally leave it, because he does not have any special profit from the civil service.
"He already has a huge profit, being one of the richest people in the world, with a fortune of more than $400 billion. But being formally in this team, it causes hatred among radically, extremist citizens who are now everywhere in the United States trying to take revenge on him by smashing Tesla cars," Blokhin added.
In his opinion, it's really not that important for a billionaire to be part of Trump's team. He can exert influence, be a friend of Trump, and outside of labor relations, like many other financial donors.
"Republicans and Democrats have their own financial donors. Musk is one of the main friends and financial donors of the Republican Party. I think Musk is currently hesitating whether to stay on the team or formally leave it. But it won't affect him, there won't just be such mass hatred of him," the American concluded.
Earlier, on March 31, the US president said that Musk might step away from politics and government in the future in order to devote all his time to business again. However, Trump will try to keep him on the team as long as he can.
On March 27, the billionaire said he wanted to cut government spending by $1 trillion. He pointed to a large number of scams and unnecessary expenses in the American government.
