A woman who returned to a burning house for documents died in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an elderly woman died as a result of a fire, returning to a house that caught fire to pick up documents. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this in its Telegram channel on Wednesday, April 2.

The fire occurred in a wooden semi-detached house in the village of Belyaki. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a 70-year-old woman managed to evacuate, but then returned to her home to pick up her documents.

"She remembered that she had left her documents in the room. Catching herself, the pensioner rushed into the building, but could not get out," the agency said in a statement.
