The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, at a meeting with the CEO of Rosseti, Andrey Ryumin, praised the work of power engineers in the most difficult weather conditions. This is reported by the press service of the energy company.

Melikov and Ryumin discussed improving the reliability of energy supply in the republic. In particular, they discussed the preliminary results of the heating season, the implementation of a program to improve the reliability of the electric grid complex and the fulfillment of instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin in the region.

According to the company, despite the problems in the energy supply sector, Dagestan has seen a positive trend in the heating season of 2024-25. In particular, a decrease in the number of accidents and a reduction in the time required to eliminate their consequences are recorded in the republic.

Melikov and Ryumin also discussed measures to further improve the reliability of energy supply. In recent years, the volume of electricity consumption in Dagestan has increased markedly against the background of socio-economic growth, which is provided, in particular, by the development of tourism and the construction of recreational facilities along the coast of the Caspian Sea, as well as in the area of natural and cultural monuments. These processes are accompanied by exceeding the permissible loads on the distribution networks. To eliminate such problems, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive network development program, Rosseti noted.
