A Moscow resident sold two apartments for 37 million rubles, jewelry and antique icons, and sent the money to the scammers to a "secure account." This was announced on April 2 by a source of Izvestia.

"In early February, a man who introduced himself as a former colleague wrote to her in a messenger and informed her that searches were being conducted at work. Then an FSB officer contacted her and began intimidating her with criminal responsibility for allegedly transferring money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the source explained.

Soon, another "FSB investigator" and "Rosfinmonitoring employee" called the victim. The scammers convinced the woman that someone was trying to get loans for her, and they needed to secure the property and sell the apartments. She did it through the agencies that the scammers pointed out. The Muscovite woman received 17.2 and 20 million rubles for housing and transferred the money to a "secure" cryptocurrency wallet.

In addition, through a courier, the woman gave the attackers a gold chain and a diamond pendant worth about 500 thousand rubles, a watch for 300 thousand rubles and three antique icons worth about 3 million rubles. She also issued a credit card and sent the fraudsters another 145 thousand rubles.

After that, the scammers stopped contacting, and the woman contacted the police. An inspection is underway.
