A student of preparatory courses at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) from Mali became ill in a dormitory, after which he died in hospital. This was announced by the university's press service on Wednesday, April 2.

"A foreign student of preparatory courses had health problems, he lost consciousness in the MIPT dormitory. An ambulance was promptly called for him. Unfortunately, the doctors were unable to save him, he died in the hospital," the Moscow City News agency quoted the message as saying.

The MIPT expressed sincere condolences to his family, friends and relatives.
