The Heritage International Digital Forum has opened in Moscow
The V International Digital Heritage Forum has started in Moscow. The awards ceremony took place on April 2 as part of the event.
"It's great that the audience of our forum remains not only stable, but is growing and increasing. This means that the desire and interest to engage in digital technologies among our youth is only growing, and this is amazing," said Vadim Glushchenko, the organizer of the forum.
He expressed gratitude for the trust and loyalty to the forum, as well as for creating a cozy community of caring, motivated people who are interested in developing and strengthening the digital economy in Russia.
Irina Shvartsman, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, noted the importance of ensuring the safety of children on the Internet. According to her, the Ministry of Education is conducting comprehensive work aimed at achieving this goal. She stressed that the ministry works not only with students, but also with educational staff and parents.
"A few years ago, together with MINDSMITH and Rostelecom, we conducted a large study on the Risks of the Future, and then I was surprised by the indicators that technological risks are indeed being solved, but psychological risks await us in the future. I could not fully understand it, but now that we are faced, for example, with a huge number of fakes that appear on the Internet, or <...> with fraud schemes, we understand that this is a matter of psychology," added Elizaveta Belyakova, chairman of the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment.
She expressed a desire, together with active teachers and the Ministry of Education, to promptly introduce technologies that will later help combat fraudulent schemes and raise awareness of children and parents about them.
Alevtina Kuvina, the winner of the award in the Digital Family Security nomination, shared that it is especially important for her family that children stay in a safe and secure environment on the Internet. Her family has developed the game "World Cyber Shield", which aims to form rules of behavior on the Internet.
"The game consists in the fact that there are two types of cards: there are black cards — these are dangerous online actions, there are white cards — these are exactly the rules that children and adults must follow on the Internet. Each player's task is to get rid of the black cards and collect as many white ones as possible. Well, in the end, let's sum up: whoever has the most white cards wins. That is, in the course of the game, you and I are forming exactly how to act correctly online," she explained.
The Youth Digital Forum is part of an initiative of Internet Governance Forums held worldwide under the auspices of the United Nations since 2005. During the event, representatives of business, academia, government agencies and the expert community discuss topical issues of Internet development.
On March 14, Kaspersky Lab published the results of a study that demonstrated factors that reduce the level of child safety. According to the survey, the majority of children (76%) indicate their age in their social media profiles. Analysts believe that such personal data can give attackers additional clues for the implementation of fraudulent scenarios.
Andrey Sidenko, head of children's online security at Kaspersky Lab, pointed out the importance of teaching children to be careful and set privacy settings on social networks, messengers, and computer games, since personal information can later be used by fraudsters against them.
