The air temperature in Moscow will drop by 8 degrees over the weekend compared to the beginning of the week. This was announced on April 2 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

He noted that on Saturday, April 5, nighttime temperatures will be negative: from +1 to -4 degrees, but in the afternoon it is expected to be warm in the capital around +5...+7, in the area — from +4 to +9 degrees.

On Sunday night, it is forecast from 0 to -5 degrees, the forecaster said. At the same time, according to him, the thermometer will show +1 on Sunday and Monday afternoon...+6 degrees, which is pretty close to the climatic norm.

"Starting on Sunday and in the first half of next week, temperatures will be below normal, such temperature fluctuations are expected throughout the month," Vilfand said in an interview with TASS.

Earlier that day, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center reported that the air temperature would exceed the average annual values in April in the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts. According to him, the increased temperature indicators will also affect Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, and the south of the Tyumen regions.
