Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme became a defendant in the case of child trafficking in Romania

Charges have been filed in Romania against American actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, saying that the 65-year-old Hollywood star allegedly uses the services of a criminal trafficking network, including minors. This was reported on April 2 by the Romanian TV channel Pro TV.

According to the lawyer of one of the alleged victims, Adrian Cuculis, the case is being handled by the Office for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism of the Romanian Prosecutor's Office.

"The criminal case <...> reveals international connections with the idols of our childhood. Jean-Claude Van Damme is accused of using the sexual services of five Romanian girls who were in a vulnerable state at the same time," said the defender.

According to media reports, the prosecutor's office received a statement from a young woman who said that she had participated in events where girls were allegedly offered to Van Damme. According to her testimony, such cases occurred in Cannes, France. The victim's accusations relate to the use of services provided by people who were knowingly exploited.
