The head of WHO warned about the risks of a new pandemic

A new pandemic may begin in the world as early as "tomorrow." This was announced on April 1 by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO).
"The COVID-19 pandemic now seems like a distant memory, replaced by conflicts, geopolitical and economic upheavals. But the next pandemic won't wait for things to calm down," he was quoted as saying on the WHO's official website.
According to him, the next pandemic could happen in 20 years or tomorrow. That's why everyone should be ready for it. The Director General calls on countries to become more involved in the WHO Pandemic Agreement.
"If at least one country is left behind, no matter how big or small it is, it will increase the risk for all of us," he stressed.
In January, WHO announced that there is no threat of a pandemic of metapneumovirus infection in the world. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto noted in this regard that this disease has already been well studied by the organization's experts.
