CAS found Norman's football player guilty of terminating his contract with Rostov

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has found Norwegian football player Mathias Norman guilty of prematurely and unjustifiably terminating his contract with FC Rostov. Russian FC announced this on April 2 on its website.
It is clarified that the CAS has fully rejected the appeals of the player and his new club Al-Raed from Saudi Arabia and ordered them to pay compensation.
"The Court of Arbitration for Sport of Lausanne, as an appellate instance, confirmed the earlier decision of the FIFA Football Tribunal and found the Norman football player guilty of terminating his contract with FC Rostov," the publication says.
The Football Tribunal of the International Football Federation (FIFA) in November 2023 found former Rostov midfielder Norman guilty of terminating his contract with the Russian team. Then the court ordered the athlete to pay compensation to the club. It was clarified that Al-Raed, for which the Norwegian currently stands, is jointly and severally responsible.
Norman signed a contract with Rostov in 2019, played 56 matches and scored two goals. Later, he played on loan for the English Norwich and Dynamo Moscow. The Norwegian left Rostov in 2022.
