- The head of Buryatia announced an increase in the average salary in the region to 69 thousand

The issue of supporting the families of missing SVO fighters remains problematic in Buryatia and must be resolved. This was stated by Vladimir Putin on April 2 at a meeting with the head of the republic Alexei Tsydenov. He replied that the authorities were already working in this direction. Buryatia is showing good economic performance: the president, in particular, noted the growth of investments. On the same day, Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions, according to which residents of the Kursk region, whose housing was damaged by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, will begin to receive monthly payments of 65 thousand rubles.
What was discussed at the meeting
Currently, 48 support measures are provided in Buryatia for participants in a special military operation and their families: from free meals for children of all ages in schools to social support for parents of military personnel. Vladimir Putin called the issue of supporting the families of missing SVO fighters problematic, which must be resolved. Alexey Tsydenov stressed that the authorities are working in this direction. For example, in the region, housing and communal services costs are fully compensated for such categories of citizens. In addition, adaptive sports are actively developing in Buryatia for fighters who have returned from their military service.
Speaking about the republic's contribution to the special military operation, Alexey Tsydenov also mentioned the deployment of a new production of robotic complexes and drones in the territory of advanced development (TOP) "Patriotic". "People are talented, and we only need to give them the opportunity to work," Vladimir Putin said, commenting on these business initiatives.
Speaking about the economic situation, Vladimir Putin noted the growth of investments in Buryatia. Last year, the republic even received a prize for the greatest momentum in this area. There are also positive trends in industrial production, with growth of more than 5% in 2024. The growth is also demonstrated by the incomes of the population: today, the average salary in Buryatia reaches 69 thousand rubles, and the average income is 54 thousand rubles. "We are ranked 32nd in the Russian Federation [by this indicator]. If we strip out inflation, last year the growth was 5%," said Alexey Tsydenov.
Recently, 46 new kindergartens and 41 schools have been built in the republic. Queues for kindergartens have been completely eliminated, as well as the third shift in schools, the head of the republic noted. "In other words, we have done everything to make our demographics grow," Alexey Tsydenov believes. In addition, 96 cultural facilities, 62 sports facilities, and 106 healthcare facilities have been built and renovated in the region. The authorities also put 1,830 km of roads and 98 bridges in order.
On the same day, Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following a meeting with members of the government on February 18. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers must provide a monthly payment of 65,000 rubles to people who have lost their homes and other property due to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region by April 10. The payment will be made "for the period until the complete liberation of the specified territory." He also instructed to develop a program to restore the infrastructure of the Kursk region.
