PSB talked about the transition of high-tech companies to a new investment paradigm

The capital market, digital assets, and smart financing for fast-growing technology businesses are not just alternatives to classic lending, but elements of a new investment paradigm, said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at PSB.

"A few years ago, when preparing the index of investment and savings activity of Russians, we discussed with SMEs from the high-tech sector the attraction of private capital, and then companies practically did not consider this mechanism as an opportunity for business development. The situation is different now — businesses need non-standard solutions. So, going public opens up access to long-term resources. This is the path that the largest players in the technology sector have already chosen. The ability to combine private investments and government support tools in the face of tight monetary policy has become one of the key skills of fast-growing technology companies," said Vera Podguzova, speaking at the Smart Investments in Innovation session of the VII Financial Forum of the Bank of Russia "Just Capital".

Vera Podguzova called digital financial assets another element of the new investment paradigm. The CFA market allows for a flexible approach to investment conditions and reduces the burden on the company during periods of high interest rates, shifting the focus from fixed payments to the success of the project.

"The technology business today is a driver of the economy, and its support requires us to make non—standard decisions, and we will continue to develop such solutions," Vera Podguzova summed up.

The session participants reviewed the financing methods available to high-tech companies, discussed the relevance of financial support measures formed within the framework of the state innovation policy, and also shared their experience in using market instruments.
