- The political scientist called Ukraine's actions in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra the destruction of all that is holy.

Ukraine's actions in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra are the destruction of all that is most sacred. This was stated to Izvestia on April 2 by political scientist, Candidate of Historical Sciences Vadim Mingalev.
"On March 28, the Ukrainian security forces went on perhaps the most demonstrative, you know, such a sophisticated, cynical action: to show that Orthodoxy is nothing. That is, they practically went to the destruction of all that is most sacred," he said.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian side has forgotten that the Orthodox faith has very deep roots, which consist in great spirituality. He emphasized the existence of the concept of Holy Russia and noted that Kiev "was the cradle of Slavic civilization."
"Yaroslav the Wise was here, and Vladimir the Holy and famous, the great Vladimir Monomakh and many, many others, but the main thing is that it is the Kiev Caves Lavra that is the main shrine of all Orthodoxy," the political scientist added.
He noted that Orthodoxy is located in a powerful, powerful spiritual world, which, with its strength and might, "will bring down and sweep away everything in its path."
Mingalev clarified that this indicates Kiev's misunderstanding that they have "given in to Satanism." According to him, Satanism can prevail for a certain time, but later the spirituality of the Russian people will unite and lead to the fact that they "will receive the punishment of the Lord."
"All of them will face trial in one way or another, and not only by the court of the world, but by God, because this will affect not only them, their children and grandchildren. This is a terrible punishment," the expert clarified.
He called what was happening a mercantile and cynical issue concerning only money, and expressed the opinion that the shrines could be sold for someone else's collections. At the same time, Mingalev noted that the time will come when the holy relics will return, as they carry historical value.
Among other things, he drew attention to the relics of the first Russian historian, the chronicler Nestor, who created the first history of Russia. He called it the foundation necessary for the further development of the state.
On April 5, at 18:00, the REN TV channel will release a film dedicated to the situation with the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, "Tomb Desecrators: 5 Harbingers of Disaster."
The day before, the Ukrainian authorities changed the locks at the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and set up a cordon at the caves where the relics of more than 100 Russian ascetics are kept. It was noted that the relics were placed at the disposal of a certain inventory group. Thus, under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the process of plundering values that are primarily of spiritual value to the Orthodox and Christian world has actually begun.
The Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) announced the beginning of the seizure of the Nearby caves of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra on March 28. It was noted that police officers entered the closed premises of the monastery. One of the employees of the lavra was spotted on the territory with a saw "Bulgarian" in his hands. On March 6, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announced that a special commission would assess the condition and safety of the relics of saints in the Near and Far caves of the Kiev Caves Lavra.
