The Federation Council approved a law banning the imposition of additional goods and services

The Federation Council approved during a meeting on Wednesday, April 2, a law protecting consumers from the imposition of additional paid goods and services.

The law stipulates that the sale of additional goods and the provision of additional services for a fee will be carried out exclusively with the consent of the consumer, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

According to the new law, consumers will have the right to refuse to pay for additional goods, works or services imposed on them, or to demand a refund if the payment has already been made, RT reports. The demand for a refund of the amount paid must be satisfied within three days from the date of its receipt, the NSN clarifies.

It also excludes the possibility of automatic marks of consent to purchase by the seller for the consumer, according to the website. kp.ru . In addition, it is not allowed to create conditions that presuppose initial consent to purchase.
