Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to take measures to attract teachers to closed cities, science towns and single-industry towns, including through the expansion of the Zemsky Uchitel program. This was announced on April 1 on the Kremlin's website.

"Extend the actions of the Zemsky Uchitel program to the specified cities without setting population limits," the document says.

The head of state also instructed to identify a list of professions that meet the challenges of ensuring Russia's technological leadership, and to update educational standards and programs in mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry.

"To ensure the updating of federal state educational standards and federal basic general education programs in terms of subjects "Mathematics", "Physics", "Chemistry" and "Biology", providing a balanced educational material, its accessibility to students and connection with other academic subjects," Putin said.

Anatoly Wasserman, a member of the State Duma Committee on Education, at a press conference at the Izvestia News Center. On March 27, he stated that improving Russian language skills is necessary for success in various fields. According to him, adults learn less readily than children. They have a lot of current affairs, which leaves little time for training. Adults prefer to spend it on studying the most sought-after areas.
