A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the units of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front edge, the units of the Southern group of forces improved their tactical position, and the units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses.

"Air defense systems shot down two US—made JDAM guided aerial bombs, a Uragan multiple launch rocket and 177 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including 94 over the territory of the Russian Federation," the Defense Ministry said.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Armed Forces defeated an enterprise for the assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles, a training center for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, as well as concentrations of manpower and equipment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 139 districts.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 660 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 49,424 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,632 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,533 multiple rocket launchers, 23,172 field artillery and mortars, 33,592 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
