The Scarlet Sails holiday became the winner of the Event of the Year award

The alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails" was recognized as the absolute winner of the XIII annual national award "Event of the Year". The award ceremony was held at the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theater.

The celebration received an award in the nomination "Best direction and staging of the event" in the category "Innovative solution of the Year". This award highlights the high level of organization and creativity of the team.

The Scarlet Sails organizers want to surprise graduates and viewers every time, so they use innovative approaches and modern technologies. So, in 2024, a lot of machinery, lifting devices, platforms and suspension mechanisms, floating decorations and complex art objects were used. At that time, a water pyrotechnic show took place in 10 locations in the Neva River.

In addition, close attention was paid to the lighting elements of the concert. The audience saw the synchronization of computer graphics on LED panels and the physical effects of the beams.

The highlight of the celebration was the appearance of the snow-white brig Rossiya with scarlet sails. At the end of the celebration, a crystal was revealed on the ship, which symbolized true love. All this happened under the song "There are millions of us".

Channel Five continuously provides a live television broadcast of the holiday. For several years in a row, the Fifth team has also been the organizer of a colorful water and pyrotechnic show. In 2024, the festival was watched by a record number of viewers — almost 37 million people worldwide. The live broadcast of the water and pyrotechnic show on the Fifth took the first place of the federal broadcast in the key audience of the channel "All 25-59". The share was 11.4%. The entire holiday was watched by 7.7% of the country's viewers in the same age group. This is a record figure for the last 17 years.

The TV audience of the holiday in Russia and the CIS countries reached 25.5 million people. The fifth also hosted an online broadcast of the legendary graduation on his website and official social media accounts. In 2024, 11.3 million people watched the show online, which is almost 12% more than in 2023.

On March 20, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, announced that the organizers had begun preparations for the annual Scarlet Sails alumni celebration, with the date of the celebration set for June 28.

In 2024, the graduation celebration was held for the 20th anniversary after the resumption of the celebration tradition. On the night of June 29, thousands of graduates from all over Russia attended a large-scale and long-awaited event. The holiday was revived after a long-term hiatus in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
