The autoblogger Gadzhiyev, who knocked down pedestrians, was released under house arrest

The Moscow Regional Court has released Haji Gadzhiev, an auto blogger who hit people on the road, under house arrest. This was announced to Izvestia on April 2 by his lawyer, Dilan Rajavi.

"Today, the Moscow Regional Court granted the appeal of the defense and overturned the Odintsovo City Court's decision to extend Gadzhiyev's preventive measure in the form of detention due to its illegality and unreasonableness, choosing house arrest for him," he said.

House arrest was approved at the blogger's place of residence in Dagestan. The defense intends to apply for a change of address to the Moscow region.

Autoblogger Gadzhiyev was detained on November 26 on suspicion of committing an accident in Odintsovo, Moscow region. According to investigators, on November 16, his car ran over people standing on the side of the road. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital. A criminal case was initiated under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles") and Article 267.1 of the Criminal Code ("Actions threatening the safe operation of vehicles"). The source of Izvestia noted that the detained Gadzhiyev turned himself in to the law enforcement officers. Later, the blogger was cleared of some of the charges.
