The Prosecutor General announced the ban of 81 foreign media outlets in Russia as a retaliatory measure.

As a retaliatory measure, more than 80 foreign media outlets are banned in Russia. This was announced on April 2 by the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov.

"For the first time, as a response to the restriction of Russian media abroad, it was decided to ban 81 foreign publications from operating in our country. Access to their information resources is limited," he said, delivering his annual report to the Federation Council.
