Significant efforts by prosecutors are aimed at respecting the rights of participants in the special military operation (SVO) and their families. This was announced on April 2 by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov in the Federation Council.

"According to our requirements, thousands of fighters have been paid allowances for active military operations, destruction and seizure of enemy military equipment," he said.

Krasnov noted that together with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, failures in the organization of treatment, rehabilitation, retraining and employment of military personnel are being eliminated.

Also, on his instructions, by implementing a law-making initiative, prosecutors sought to apply uniform support measures for their participants, regardless of their status, as well as the appointment of required payments in an undeclared manner. According to the Prosecutor General, as a result, almost 3,000 legal acts of regional authorities were adjusted.

"But unfortunately, we continue to receive daily complaints about problems with payments, medical care, prosthetics, and the availability of regional benefits. Each such appeal is under my personal control until the violated rights are fully restored," Krasnov said.
