Zakharova pointed to Berbok's lack of professionalism to work as head of the UN General Assembly

German Foreign Minister Annalene Burbock lacks the professionalism and knowledge to assume the post of President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This was announced on April 2 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"I'm sorry, I'm even afraid to imagine how the UN General Assembly will be led for a whole year by a man with such scant knowledge. This concerns both diplomacy and how many times it has been involved in monstrous diplomatic scandals created by it," she said on Sputnik Radio.

According to the diplomat, Berbok found herself at the post of German Foreign Minister by accident, without having the necessary professional knowledge, education and experience. Zakharova also stressed that she is the granddaughter of a Wehrmacht officer, so it can be assumed that her nomination is not a coincidence.
