A Russian fighter who returned from captivity called his wife and son


A Russian soldier who returned from captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) called his wife and son. The conversation took place in the presence of the Izvestia correspondent.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine <...>. I'll be home soon," the man said during a phone conversation.
According to the Russian fighter, his wife did not know if he was alive before the call. During the conversation, the soldier could not hold back tears, despite the fact that he had previously told about the events that took place in captivity. He also said that he didn't even have water there.
"It's okay. The motherland took me away," the man said in the conversation.
Earlier, on March 19, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the return of 175 servicemen from the territory controlled by Ukraine. Moscow has handed over to Kiev 22 seriously wounded militants who need urgent treatment.
