The death toll from the earthquake in Myanmar has risen to 2,886 people, another 4,639 people were injured. This was reported on April 2 by China Central Television, citing the head of the news and information group of the Myanmar State Administration Council, Zaw Min Tun.

On March 28, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 6.4 were recorded in the Asian republic. The epicenter of one of them was located 31 km northwest of the city of Mandalay.
