The United States criticized the idea of sending European troops to Ukraine

The deployment of the European military in Ukraine will require a lot of resources that Europe does not have. This opinion was expressed on March 31 by former assistant to the US Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Bryan in his article for the Weapons Substack (WS) portal.
The author of the publication also noted that if both sides agree to a settlement deal, it may "collapse" if Britain and France send their troops to the territory of Ukraine in order to allegedly protect it.
"Europe does not have sufficient forces (as well as weapons reserves) to be nothing more than a stretched wire," Brian noted.
Earlier, on March 27, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow was categorically against the deployment of so-called Western peacekeepers in Ukraine, as this was fraught with the danger of a direct clash between Russia and NATO.
