In Yakutia, they were detained in a criminal case on sabotage of residents of the city of Mirny involved in arson at communications facilities. This was announced on Wednesday, April 2, by the Office of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the republic.

"Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) detained residents of the city of Mirny involved in the arson of communications facilities," the agency said in a statement.

A criminal case has been opened against the attackers on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior agreement").

It is specified that the residents of Mirny contacted a representative of the Ukrainian special services via messenger, after which they received a task from him for a monetary reward.

They now face 10 to 20 years in prison.

Earlier, on March 20, the Zabaikalsky Regional Court sentenced two residents of Chita, assigning them six years in prison for sabotage and destruction of a life support facility ordered by Ukraine.
