In the Vaninsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory, an official who is accused of appropriating municipal apartments and causing damage to the municipality in the amount of 11.2 million rubles will appear in court. This was announced by the regional prosecutor's office on Wednesday, April 2.
According to the agency, from September 2020 to November 2023, the woman signed social employment contracts with residents for apartments owned by the municipality.
Then she and her accomplices — her son and 41-year—old roommate - privatized the housing and sold it on behalf of the new owners. They appropriated all the proceeds for themselves.
In addition, from January 2022 to December 2023, the official, wishing to improve her performance, illegally issued 12 more municipal apartments with citizens.
"During the investigation of the criminal case, the woman concluded a pre-trial cooperation agreement, under which she reported on the circumstances of the corruption crime, as well as other members of the criminal group. Partially compensated for the damage caused," the Khabarovsk Territory Prosecutor's Office writes in its Telegram channel.
The woman is charged under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud"), Part 2 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code ("Official forgery"), a criminal case has been opened against her.
The day before, on March 31, it was reported that the Kuzminsky District Court of Moscow had sentenced businessman Elena Filippova in a particularly large—scale fraud case - she was sentenced to five years in a penal colony. The criminal case was opened in 2019 for three episodes.
