Taiwan reported 76 Chinese planes and 15 ships approaching the island.

The Armed Forces of the Republic of China reported on the maneuvers of 76 aircraft and 15 ships of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA). The corresponding statement was published by the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan on the social network X (Ex. Twitter).

"Before 6 a.m. (1:00 a.m. Moscow time) today, the activity of 76 PLA aircraft, 15 PLA ships, as well as four service ships around Taiwan was detected," the statement said.

At the same time, it is specified that 37 aircraft crossed the median line and entered the Taiwan air defense zone.

During the maneuvers, Beijing is exploring the possibility of obtaining comprehensive control and blocking key areas of the island.

Earlier, on March 22, Taiwan reported the approach of 47 Chinese aircraft and seven ships to the island. It is noted that 41 of the 47 aircraft crossed the median line and entered the northern, southwestern and eastern air defenses of Taiwan. Employees of the defense forces monitored the situation and were able to respond to it.
