Russian diplomats and the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Nis (Serbia) are in constant contact with their partners in the Republika Srpska (RS). If contacted, they are ready to assist in providing the necessary assistance, the Russian Embassy in Sarajevo told Izvestia.

"The Embassy in Sarajevo and the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Nis continue to be in constant contact with Serbian partners and, if requested, are ready to assist in providing the necessary assistance," the Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina told Izvestia.

At this stage, the participation of the Russian side in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters in Republika Srpska is not planned. According to the Republican Office for Civil Protection, the situation in Republika Srpska is under control, there is no critical situation. All the services involved in flood relief are working normally, the Russian diplomatic mission stressed.

"Despite the fact that the flooding situation in the Republic is returning to normal, we recommend that fellow citizens adhere to generally accepted rules of conduct during emergencies, in particular during floods, and temporarily refrain from visiting areas affected by the disaster," the Russian Embassy in Sarajevo warned.

The head of the Serbian entity, Milorad Dodik, held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 1.

Recall that on March 30, 800 buildings were flooded in the city of Prijedor in the north-west of the Republika Srpska due to the flooding of the Sanaa River, 145 people were evacuated, said Miroslav Krnet, head of the city's civil protection department. Local crisis management headquarters had previously declared a state of emergency in a number of municipalities.
