The lawyer of Pavel Kublitsky, a Russian citizen accused by the United States of cyberbullying, has sent a petition to the court to postpone the start of the trial from April to August. This is stated on April 1 in a document published in the database of the District Court of the State of Florida.

"The defendant Pavel Kublitsky asks the court to postpone the consideration of the case for three months, to August 2025," TASS quoted the lawyer as saying.

It is specified that such a decision was made because the parties need more time to study the case materials and to negotiate.

On August 12, 2024, Kublitsky was released on bail of $100,000 with a ban on using a smartphone, monitoring his location, and house arrest. In addition, the Florida court ordered him to hand over his passports and travel documents.

On June 21, Pavel Kublitsky was detained in Montenegro on charges of interfering in the US election. On August 9, the Russian Embassy in the United States announced that the arrested man would receive the necessary consular and legal assistance.
