Enrollment of children in the first grades has begun in Moscow schools

On April 1, the enrollment of children in the first grades started in Moscow. The application must be submitted to parents by September 5. This was reported on the website of the Moscow City Hall on Tuesday, April 1.

If a child goes to a preschool group and will enroll in the first grade of the same organization, you do not need to send an electronic application. It is noted that the transfer in this case is made out without submitting digital documents, it is enough to write an application addressed to the director, the Moscow city news agency reports.

Parents and legal representatives of the child can apply to three educational institutions at once to choose from. One of the schools must be located at the child's place of registration.

The possibility of online enrollment of children in the first grade appeared in the capital 13 years ago, clarifies 360.ru . Thanks to digitalization, Muscovites no longer need to personally bring documents to enroll a child in school. In 2024 alone, this service was used over 58.1 thousand times, according to Moscow 24.

On March 20, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said that about 50 metropolitan schools would be put in order in 2025. According to him, in 2024, the implementation of the large-scale My School program began, within which it is planned to modernize up to 100 buildings per year.
