NMG has announced the release of the film "The King and the Fool. Forever" in early 2026

Adventure fantasy "The King and the Fool. Forever" based on the songs of the legendary rock band will be released in cinemas in early 2026, the distributor of the film, NMG Kinoprokat company (part of the National Media Group holding), announced on April 1 as part of a presentation at the international film market and the Russian Film Business 2025 forum.

"The action takes place in the world of rock band songs. The fairy-tale universe is being destroyed because of the dead, resurrected by the villain Necromancer. To save his family and friends, Gorshok kidnaps Andrey Knyazev from reality into a fairy tale, and they stand side by side to defend the world they created," the creators of the plot said in a press release.

The film is directed by Rustam Mosafir. He also co-wrote the script with Alexander Buzin. The film roles were played by the same actors as in the TV series "The King and the Fool" released in 2023: Konstantin Plotnikov (The Pot), Vlad Konoplev (The Prince), Daria Melnikova (The Widow), Vera Volt (The Princess), Ilya Khvostikov (The Stump), Ilya Grishin (The Necromancer) also joined the cast.).

Earlier on April 1, it was reported that the International Film Market and the Russian Film Business Forum began in Moscow, where professionals present films that will soon be seen by the Russian audience.
