The textbook on "Family Studies", which caused a public outcry due to the participation of an adherent of esoteric theories in its creation, will not be released in its original form. This was announced on April 1 by Maria Maryasova, chairman of the committee for work with influencers of the New People faction.

"This is not the end. The authors reported that they had sent the textbook for revision. That is, it will be finalized by the same people who created the first version, among whom there are authors pushing pseudoscientific ideas on rodology," Maryasova wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to her, the rodologists, whose ideas are supported by one of the co-authors of the textbook, argue that a woman will not be able to start a family if her mother and grandmother divorced. The only way to break the "curse" is to turn to an esoteric genealogist.

Earlier, on February 18, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that it is necessary to form a competitive, flexible education system, taking into account the needs of the economy and the social sphere. According to him, Russian education remains in need of teaching staff, especially in fundamental disciplines, as well as in improving the level of professional retraining.

Prior to that, on January 30, Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, said that the school's task was to educate a well—rounded and thinking child. He said that new history textbooks often contain diametrically opposed assessments of any events or contradictory memories of contemporaries about the events.
