In the Kemerovo region, a mother with a six-month-old baby was killed by a foreign car.

A Peugeot driver killed a woman and a six-month-old baby in the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Kemerovo region. This was announced on April 1 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

The accident occurred on Volodarsky Street at 13:55 local time (09:55 Moscow time). Emergency services promptly went to the scene.

Previously, a 40-year-old driver of a foreign car was driving at an unsafe speed, as a result of which he hit a 40-year-old woman traveling with a wheelchair on the side of the road. Subsequently, the car left the road, crashed into a private house and overturned. The victims died on the spot.

"The driver's license of the man driving the Peugeot has expired. In addition, the driver had previously been deprived of the right to drive vehicles and had signs of intoxication at the time of the accident," the Telegram channel says.

The man was sent for a medical examination. At the moment, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have begun checking to establish the circumstances of the accident.

Earlier that day in Arkhangelsk, a Haval car driver hit a mother with a 10-month-old baby in a stroller. It was clarified that when turning left, the man did not give way to a woman with a baby carriage crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing. An administrative offense report was drawn up against him under Article 12.18 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to provide an advantage in traffic to pedestrians or other road users").
