- The Kursk shelter told about the unusual friendship of a chicken and a cat from Malaya Lokni

On March 30, an unusual pair of chicken and a cat were brought to the Right to Live shelter in the Kursk region, which were taken from the liberated Malaya Lokni Sudzhansky district. Animals always stick together and refuse to live separately.
Pets from Malaya Loknya were brought to the shelter by Donetsk volunteers from the organization "Cat House". The military found a chicken and a cat back in February in one of the sheds of the settlement. In addition to two unexpected friends, 12 cats and one dog were taken out of Malaya Lokni.
According to Alyona Lavrova, the shelter's administrator, the bird is actively trying to protect its companion. When trying to detach the cat, the chicken began to worry seriously and beat against the bars, so now they continue to be kept together. In general, both animals are tame and allow themselves to be touched and stroked.
During her stay at the shelter, the hen managed to lay an egg. The cat, in turn, looks pregnant, but there is no medical confirmation of her pregnancy yet.
"No one wants to separate us. If they are going to be taken away, then only two," Lavrov said.
Earlier, in early March, sailors from the Russian FESCO transport company rescued a cat from a locked container on a ship sailing from Istanbul to Novorossiysk. The pet was temporarily left in the care of the carrier in the Novorossiysk port, it is planned to be given into good hands.
