In Thailand, four tourists from Russia were injured as a result of a boat fire near the island of Maiton. This was announced on April 1 by the press service of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Phuket.
"As a result of the incident, four Russians received minor injuries, they do not need hospitalization," the Consulate General's Telegram channel said.
It is noted that there were 33 tourists on board, of whom 26 were Russian citizens. At the moment, the Russian Consulate General is in contact with the victims and local authorities investigating the causes of the incident.

Earlier in the day, a boat carrying tourists from Russia and Kazakhstan caught fire near Maiton Island in Phuket Province in southern Thailand. According to MGR online, the cause of the fire was engine failure.
