Forbes recognized Musk as the richest man in the world

Entrepreneur and Head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk is the richest man in the world according to Forbes magazine. The corresponding list of billionaires is published on the publication's website.

His fortune is estimated at $342 billion. The second place in the ranking was taken by the head of Meta corporation (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Mark Zuckerberg with a fortune of $216 billion.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is in third place, with a net worth of $215 billion.

Earlier, on March 6, Forbes reported that the fortune of the head of DOGE decreased by $110.8 billion since December last year amid a decline in shares of Tesla, an electric car manufacturer. According to the newspaper, the company is suffering losses due to the imposition of duties by the United States of 25% against Mexico, Canada and China.

Musk also topped the list of the four hundred richest U.S. citizens in 2022 and 2023.
